In case it helps, what I want to make mainly involves moving gears. I
created the gears in Inkscape, imported them into the GIMP, then created
PNGs, rotating 3? for each one. I made an animated GIF in the GIMP using the
layers method, but like I said, it loaded slowly the first time. Adding
interacting gears to the mix would make it even worse.
