Gang, Just curious if anyone else has had experience with Komodo, an ide recently let (MPL) open/free by ActiveState? I'm checking it out and it seems on par with Eclipse for other-than-java development (Eclipse has some great add-ins for languages PHP, Python, Html, Javascript and packages ROR, TurboGears and Django) I like Eclipse except that it is honkin' huge and I can't run it on all of my platforms due to ,err...., because.... some of my machines are , in essence, anachronisms.
OpenKomodo appears to be extensible and does provide some of the code automation and syntax checking that keeps me from shcrewing up my proggies. I'll be committing some dev time to vet it out its worthyness. My old standby is Scite, a wonderful light-weight editor (almost an ide) with syntax highlighting for a couple of dozen languages. Its good for small projects and ad-hoc examining/editing of files. Can anyone make a couple of good suggestions of any multi-platform ides?
