There's a good number of the tools that do work with windows so that's not by 
itself a big issue.  In my experience it's one thing to be able to use the 
tools to compile an app and something very different to actually understand 
what's happening when you do signal processing with them.

Got some data?  Need to filter it? Apply filter DLL - Done .... err no. If only 
life were that simple.
