Will- I'm glad you highlighted this article. I knew WPA was on the way down, but I didn't realize it would be so fast. We don't really use wireless anymore at the office, but it would be nice to have it when we want it. I wonder if our WAP supports WPA2 (as Terry mentioned).
As far as end-to-end encryption, uh, well, that's a lot of management. I don't see that happening in any campus environment. I don't see how it's practical. That said, you can FORCE end-to-end encryption with AD and IPSEC. This is sometimes done for servers. You can also do this for UNIX and Linux servers, but I don't know of a policy tool that can force this across a large heterogeneous environment.
