If we have to migrate the brlug website, I think we should use a CMS. Besides, 
who has time to create a custom website? Personally, I like Plone but it might 
be an overkill for this purpose. I usually use wordpress for smaller websites. 
IMHO wordpress has security issues but its very easy to manage and update.
