Do people not realize that WinXP and up has zip functionality built in? I've seen WinZip installed on way too many XP machines. Actually, I think Me could use zip as well.
Granted, you can't span archives or set your compression level, but you can still zip and unzip, which is 97.4% of what archiving apps are used for.
