Haha, no, he's not weird, but I take it he's gone a little jaded. I have
to admit I struggle with spam a bit myself. I delete about 4-5 emails a
day that are spam that get past our filter.

        A philosophical question..

I recently sent someone I know an email about catching up and
got busy afterwards and so didn't respond very promptly, and then got
the following:

        ...

Automated form touch letters. Nice, Dustin.

I'm spam listing your domain to this address.

You can contact me via another technology, if you actually want
to interact.

        ...

It took me a few days to get what he meant, and now that I do I
wonder if spam has really made Internet users this jaded? More broadly
put, has spam really killed email?
