This works perfectly on Android. Just tested.

Create your route, then E-Mil the link to yourself. When reading the e-mail
with Android device and clicking the link, the phone offered to open it with
various different applications, such as 2 web browsers, google maps, ATT
maps, ATT Navigator.

I opened with Google maps and the route was there + all the turn by turn
instructions as well.
