Someone who works for us, his wife found a company I think in NO who did this
when she lost all of her PHD research and dissertation work. I’ll see if they
can find out who it was.

Subject: Re: [brlug-general] Professional Data Recovery in BR or NO?

My wife is a photographer, so I know it happens a lot more than you'd think
that the CF card with all your wedding pictures dies as soon as the wedding is
over. Pro cameras have dual CF slots to prevent this.... make sure your
photographer's camera does.

Consensus is there's no one trustworthy that's local. If you find one, let me
know. But it will have to be sent off. And how "critical" the data is is
normally determined by the cost of this service, as it's not cheap. I have no
personal experience with them (all our cameras have dual slots), but
DriveSavers is a company that gets recommended a lot.

Looking for a profession Data Recovery service around BR or NO area. The info
is for a student at LSU. Apparently, some very critical data was stored on a
external drive and the drive is clicking and it's not readable. It's the usual
story. No backup and months of work probably lost.

Any service recommendations or experiences?
