I would also like to join the PMC as I think I have good experience of Jakarta Commons to add to the group. My experience of Apache is for the majority from within Jakarta Commons, and I've been an active committer for pretty much the entire lifespan of Jakarta Commons.

Your stated interest in joining the PMC and prior experience elsewhere within the ASF would be suitable justification for me to nominate you to the rest of the PMC.
