There is a function xdmp:filesystem-directory() that takes a pathname
argument, for example

  xdmp:filesystem-directory("/var/opt/MarkLogic/Logs")

It returns a structured listing of files, not file content. You can use
xdmp:document-get() or other functions that operate on the filesystem to
process the returned list, however.

It is an unsupported and undocumented function but works in the current
release of ML Server.
