Poke us hard enough and someone from ML will eventually respond... :-)

As was surmised, there is no XML diff support in the current release of
the product; neither do I expect there is anything imminent.

A community-driven library effort would be quite interesting to us. We
would watch to see if the effort highlights functional gaps or
optimizations that could make the library more effective or efficient.

Subject: [MarkLogic Dev General] RE: XML diff (Andrew_Redhead)

Anyone Interested,

Seeing there is nothing from ML about this and it is something that I
have wanted for quite some time. Perhaps we should band together and
start a project to write a diff library module based on the Diffx(order
sensitive) algorithm or x-diff(order insensitive).

I have started such a module but have not gotten far. I will share it
and hopefully somebody can make it work or we can collaborate and share
it back the community.

Here are some resources that I used to formulate my thoughts on:

It seems like this would be a popular feature, I haven't heard from
anyone in ML yet but another ML user has told me "off list" that the
answer is no.

Anyone from ML care to comment?

Cheers,

Andy
