David, I am using Windows XP (version 2002, SP 3), running on an Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU T7400 @ 2.16GHz (with 2.00GB of RAM).
I am using the latest version of Firefox for the install. I had just upgraded from 3.2_2 to 3.2_8, which also caused a problem, probably unrelated to the new problem (somehow, the Admin folder in the MarkLogic folder got corrupted, so install failed due to "security writing to folder". This happened during uninstall of _2 or install of _8, not sure which. I had to reboot, which removed the Admin folder, after which _8 seemed to install OK, and my applications then worked OK on that version. I then de-installed _8 and tried to install 4.0, and got the problem mentioned below.
