Hi, Rob, Check out XQSync: http://developer.marklogic.com/howto/tutorials/2006-08-xqsync.xqy. Per that page, use this tool to copy a database between platforms or back up a portion of a database. We've investigated but are yet to try.

According to the documentation, to use forest level failover in v4 we're going to have to use either Solaris or Red Hat in the production environment. What is the best way of copying a database from a Windows 2003 (64bit) server to a UNIX server? Anyone have experience doing this? Thanks Rob
