First thought: wow, someone's using the policy.xml file.
But which browser are you using? Firefox 3.0.3 seems to be ok with this
policy:
<policy xmlns="com.marklogic.developer.cq.policy">
<accent-color>red</accent-color>
</policy>
I don't have IE handy, but I'll try it as soon as I'm able to.
