It's certainly well formed. For the first few files I've been in an
validated using sgml-mode in emacs.
No problem. I've been processing those files with XSLT for a year or two now
so I'm not expecting any XML problems?
  I hope MarkLogic doesn't expect anything of my files other than well
formedness.


The encoding is the only issue I can see off hand.
It's specified as 8859-1. Is that sufficient to make it bomb?
