Are there ready-made tools out there for processing ErrorLog.txt?

>From a data standpoint it's a rather intimidating mix of pure text
fields and quasi-XML (i.e. the lines containing pieces of the
<error:error> output). Seems like a job for Perl if nothing is already
out there?
