That's a good idea, Tim. You can also create triggers directly 
(http://developer.marklogic.com/pubs/4.0/apidocs/Triggers.html), but CPF 
is usually easier to work with 
(http://developer.marklogic.com/pubs/4.0/books/cpf.pdf).
