Hi all,
With the 4.1 impeding release, allow me to point you towards something
I've been working on recently using Mark Logic's 4.1 Early Access releases.
XQMVC is a web application framework which uses the MVC design pattern
for those who wish to build websites entirely driven by xquery (rather
than a Java or .NET website powered by XCC). Think (minimal versions
of) Django (python), Rails (ruby), or CakePHP (php) for similar ideas in
other languages.
You can find everything you need to know at:
http://code.google.com/p/xqmvc/
Or jump directly to the documentation at
http://code.google.com/p/xqmvc/w/list
I gave a talk about MVC and the XQMVC framework at the Mark Logic
conference San Francisco in May, you can download the presentation here:
http://xqmvc.googlecode.com/files/Palmitesta-An-MVC-Driven-Web%20Application-Framework-Why-and-How.pdf
We're using the framework for a couple of applications which are still
under development. I'd really love any feedback, please let me know if
you think you might have a use for such a framework!
Cheers,
Eric
