Hi Jakob; The server setting are the xml files in the /var/opt/MARKlogic (or /var/opt/MarkLogic for Linux). Copy all of the *.xml files to a backup directory. Do this for each server in a cluster. Then if you need to go back to the previous version, you can copy these back before you bring up the instance under the old version.
The upgrade will maintain your current settings. The saved xml are only for a backout scenario. While instructions are very clear regarding *database* backups, there's nothing as regarding the *server settings*. do I have to manually note down all server settings (including any tweaks made to the Task server, for example), or is this data somewhere where I can back it up safely and retrieve after the upgrade? cheers, Jakob. _______________________________________________ General mailing list [email protected] http://xqzone.com/mailman/listinfo/general _______________________________________________ General mailing list [email protected] http://xqzone.com/mailman/listinfo/general
