Hello, I am trying to explore search functionality customization using Application Builder. I think we can easily build and use default provided faceted Search functionality provided by MarkLogic with little customization and configuration. MarkLogic uses Http Appl server which comes along with product.
This application would be good fit to design small content retrieval and low security application as App server and MarkLOgic on the same box. Can I use the application for large content base with heavy user interface and business logic applications where search is the priority. Security point of view where shall I keep the marklogic server. In DMZ zone or other firewall(Orcad/astoro). SSL would sufice all security related features? Whether the application is scalable for future business demand and need. What do you suggest for Architecture point of view . Shall I go for 3 tier architecture(webserver/Application server/Data server) Please let me know your understandings and suggestions. Appreciate your help Thanks, Tom
