As Kelly also suggested, you can do calculations at loading time, and wrap 
optimized information together with the original data in some convenient 
element. But I am not sure that would make really sense in this particular 
case. It makes perfect sense to have the Actors normalized and referenced by 
ID. And you already described the right approach to add a constraint for a 
particular Actor: just lookup the ID first and use that to filter out results 
that do not reference that ID. In other words, just use two search calls to 
make this work. There is nothing against that. If indices are setup properly, 
you should still get results in the subsecond range.. :-)
