Hi Wayne,

I was wondering whether or not the node-replace function actually results in
creating deleted fragments.

In the case that merges are required, there are times when we will manually
initiate a merge to free up space before the automated merge can get around
to doing so.

Thanks,

Tim

usingxdmp:node-replace (or insert)?

The system will do merges automatically, assuming you haven't disabled them.
You shouldn't need to manually initiate a merge.

You can look at the database status in the Admin UI to see the number of
deleted fragments that have not yet been merged away.

Wayne.

Hi Folks,

I'm wondering what actually happens to content that is revised using
xdmp:node-replace and if a merge is required afterwards. (I have revised
over 800,000 documents.)

Thank you!
