The range lexicons (cts:element-value-ranges and
cts:element-attribute-value-ranges) were added in 4.0, and the Search API
(which uses these) was added in 4.1.

Sounds like a great reason to upgrade....

Is this bucket search availalble or supported in ML ver 3.2 ?

You might want to start with the Buckets Example in Section 2.7.1 of the Search
Developers Guide
(http://developer.marklogic.com/pubs/4.1/books/search-dev-guide.pdf).

Subject: [MarkLogic Dev General] Search help

Hi,

Is there any way (Search API in Mark Logic) that i can use to search for
particular element whose value starts with 'A' or 'B' or 'C' (A.B,C should be
my input criteria for search)

Basically i want to look for the particular identifier in all the documents and
then in those documents i want to search for particular element which starts
from letter 'A' or 'B' or 'C' or so on. I want to achieve the grouping on the
basis of alphabets and then display them group wise one by one (not all of them
in one go) without hitting the search again to reduce the overhead on mark
logic.

ANy help is highly appreciated as i am new to mark logic and still learning but
got stuck here in my work and looking for the guidance or help urgently.

Thanks

Chirag
