Steve, from our experience, 64-bit is a must not a can. We ran into
all sorts of trouble when trying to run it on 32-bit platforms.
MarkLogic support folks also hinted strongly that all our memory
problems would be sorted when we'd switch to 64-bit, and once we did
we never looked back.
