I'm adding a feature using Search API operators that will allow users to search
within a specified child of the fragment root, but I'm confused about how
facets are supposed to work in this scenario. (I'm aware of the bug preventing
override of <searchable-expression> using operators, and I'm working around it
in the meantime).

The idea is that if our content looks something like this (<chapter> as
fragment root):

<doc>
<chapter>
<p>...<note>...</note></p>
<p>...<note>...</note></p>
</chapter>
<chapter/>
...
</doc>

The user could search for "searchterm select:note" and the output will be a set
of <note>s instead of <chapter>s. This works fine for the first search, and the
returned facet values I'm assuming are based on the <note>s' nearest parent
<chapter>, since the fragments are the only place facet metadata is stored.

However, when I constrain using any of the returned facets - "searchterm
select:note book:somebook" - the results are always empty. I assumed this
would return a subset of <note>s, who's parent fragment's metadata matches the
specified book, as defined by the facet.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding how this works. Any ideas?

Thank you!

Will
