Since the directory-uri is a container (as it is akin to a file system directory and can be traversed, especially when using WebDAV), I'd like to suggest that:
1. It be named xdmp:document-move() instead of xdmp:document-rename, with the restriction that it is being moved to a different directory-uri within the same database. 2. There be an option to specify the forest within the database in case it becomes necessary to redistribute the load. 3.
