Debug is a higher level, and it includes lower level (like Info) messages. In general, Debug is a little more chatty than Info, but not too chatty, so the logs will not get giant on Debug. In most cases, it is advisable to run the file logs at Debug.
It depends what you have your file log level setting on the group which messages show up in the logs. Fine, Finer, and Finest will print tons of messages in the logs. -Danny From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of ambika arumugam Sent: Friday, October 07, 2011 3:09 AM To: General MarkLogic Developer Discussion Subject: [MarkLogic Dev General] Reg: error logging Hi all, I would like to know difference between info and debug level logging. I'm trying to optimize the use of 'Info' and 'Debug' log-level options in xdmp:log(). Regards Ambika
