Hi Mahitha,

About server restarts: you might be interested in using the Content
Processing Framework. CPF tasks survive a system restart..

Kind regards,

Geert

I've used xdmp:spawn successfully on several projects. One thing you might
want to check is what happens to the task server on a system restart. I
believe the task server is cleared when the system restarts. I assume the
behavior is the same with the most recent version of MarkLogic. The reason
I bring up the task server is that xdmp:spawn places tasks on the task
server.

Hi ,

In our application, to execute some update statements asynchronously we are
using xdmp:spawn.

 Is it safe to use xdmp:spawn ?

Is there any other way to execute update statements asynchronously ?

Regards

Mahitha
