I created a new field containing a single element, restricted by an attribute value. There are only 234 (small-medium sized)documents in my database that match the field definition. But shortly after creating the field, the database status page indicates 360,000+ documents remaining (in a database with just under 500,000).
Does the reindexer need to visit every document even if the new field doesn't occur in it? I've sometimes seen that when you add a new range index, the progress indicates all the documents are being processed, but shortly after, the number goes down dramatically. I assume that means all the documents are considered, and then rejected? But in this case, we seem to be progressing slowly through the whole set. Does anybody know what this means? Using ML Server 4.1-6.
