xmlsh can be used for this depending on your needs (www.xmlsh.org<http://www.xmlsh.org>) In combination with the marklogic extension module and the xsql command you can transfer data from ML to a relational DB In fact I just gave a presentation on this Tuesday at MarkLogic World 2012.
