Calling all MarkLogic and XML Aficionados!, XML London is a 2 day XML conference which will be held in central London on the weekend of 15th-16th June.
There is a great line up of speakers, with exciting talks about new developments in XML and related technologies, such as XQuery, XSLT, XProc, XForms, the Semantic Web and SPARQL! There are 2 people from MarkLogic speaking, Philip Fennell is one of the two keynote speakers. Philip will be speaking about some extreme edge cases of where XML can be used as well as the Semantic Web, Linked Data and SPARQL! Jim "xquery" Fuller, will be launching xproc.xq, an XProc processor written entirely in XQuery. We will get an insight into the architecture of how the software has been put together from the author himself. For those of you use Java, you may be interested to know that Tatu Saloranta is flying from Greater Seattle USA to speak at XML London. Tatu is the author of the well Jackson [1] libraries as well as the Woodstox [2] and Aalto [3] XML Processors. There will be a Social Dinner on the Saturday night which promises to be great fun with a DemoJam for entertainment!!
