Here are a few things to try: Make sure your App-Services App Server is set up properly. You can look here for the proper settings: http://docs.marklogic.com/5.0/guide/installation/intro#id_98861 And you can look in the Admin Interface (which runs on port 8001) and make sure the App-Services App Server is configured properly. If it is not, it is probably because the machine you were using had an older version of MarkLogic on it at some point, and you just need to reconfigure it according to the link above.
