David, Chris, Thanks for these explanations. Choosing raw rather than auto for viewing query results seems to be working with Firefox.
I use Query Console a lot and have never had this problem with my default browser, Chrome, so maybe it’s a Firefox thing. I've seen that in Firefox before if I've returned a very Large XML file. My assumption is that it is the adding of the styles on-the-fly. OUr solution is to view the doc as raw.
