I did send a message at the first of the year.

Trying to think of an interim solution and not being fully familiar with ML.

Would it be possible to define a transform step on ingestion that would
validate the XML instance via an external call to saxon or xerces?  They
both support 1.1

Putting data in ML without validating it is kind of pointless for us.
