The fact that <request-time> represents a one minute rolling average is
understood - it's the value itself that is confusing.

I've checked the source for the admin console and my understanding is that
it calculates the average of (current time - start time) for each
request-status element returned by xdmp:server-status (i.e. running
requests). I may have missed it, but I don't see it using the value from
the <request-time> element.

I see <request-time> returning values like "4.48296" - which appears at
odds with both the admin console and other measurements showing the average
request time to be around 300-400ms.

Could <request-time> represent the average of some small part of the
overall request time?
