Hi Mohit , Normally, downgrade is not recommended as latest version have lot of new fixes and features . There is a change needed for your REST configuration .
In MarkLogic 7, App Servers that are REST API Instances used a different URL rewriter than in MarkLogic 8. In MarkLogic 8, the App Server is configured to use the declarative rewriter.
