Hi Jurgan, As you know , Marklogic stores all the content in UTF-8 encoding by default , if you specify any other encoding format in ingestion then ML will try to transcode that into UTF-8 format . And UTF-8, ISO-8859-1 are two main encoding options as well as many other popular encoding also ML will support , See the below link to get the complete set of character set encoding by language.
