Hi,

The result of your query is a sequence of strings (each ending with a
newline char). The sequence is then serialized by using a space to
separate each of them. If you want full control over the result, generate
one single string, e.g.:

xdmp:save(
   '/delivery/file.txt',
   fn:string-join(
      cts:uris((), (), cts:element-query(xs:QName("prefix:element"), "*")),
      '
'))

Regards,
