Norman Drinkwater built updated versions for windows and mac binaries and also compiled libglcmds for mac which can greatly improve the speed in plot (as least 10x I guest). I didn't try it myself, but I guess you have to update base library, gui/gtk, gui/gtk, gl2 and plot addons. Also it needs the new mac gtk binaries. try type,
