Many thanks for the quick response.
 
When adding these two lines
 
flipreadrgb=: ]
flipwritergb=: ]
 
as you suggested, everything works perfectly.
 
The colors are swapped correctly, as far as I can say.
 
My Steganography experiments, which hide messages in bit
planes, work the same way as before.
