Win 10, Intel i7, j804_win64.exe One day I was working with Jqt64 on my Dell laptop. When I started things up the next day, the green 'J' icon (jqt.exe) would not start J. I tried executing jqt.exe directly, and I get the same thing - a spinner (used to be an hourglass) for about a second, then nothing. I tried to execute jconsole (jconsole.exe), and it works fine.
I tried the updatejqt process, and it went through the update process, loading and listing the various modules. However, still no luck starting jqt.. I un-installed all of J, and deleted all the J folders. then I re-installed J using the j804_win64.exe file, everthing went fine, and the update icon was created. The update seemed to work, but again, trying to start jqt.ex failed. Jconsole.exe still works. What is going on?
