The jijx failure indicates your machine is not allowing any use of
localstorage.

This is strange as it works fine on my iPhone (with same ios version as
your iPad) and on my older iPad.

A search shows that localstorage will fail with private browsing, but
should works otherwise.

If possible, please google iPad private browsing and try to figure out if
you are using it and try to turn it off. I'd give you the steps, but it is
convoluted and the web pages do it with a series of screen shots.

JHS is a somewhat strange beast. Getting familiar first on your desktop is
probably a good idea.

If it turns out the localstorage is a problem, I can easily make a version
which ignore the error. It is not required for function, but only for
performance.
