J installs and runs fine on the M1 MacMini - but (perhaps) because it is
running in rosetta the performance isn't dramatic. In fact, it might be a
little slower than your current Mini.
That is, running on a 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5

Of course, that's a lot of floating point where Intel AVX helps out (these were
both in j903 beta-o) Real programs might do better on the Mini, I do hope to
see a native compile for the Apple chip one of these days.
