For what it's worth:

(begin historical aside)

email is not a completely reliable system -- in part because of
organizational stresses which have been imposed by spammers and script
kiddies.

A general problem here has been that little used diagnostic tools have
been associated with spam in the context of the vastness of the
internet. And, historically useful diagnostic mechanisms have been
shut down as a consequence.

(Also, though, some diagnostic tools for email issues -- like mail
logs -- have historically been only accessible to the (often too busy)
administrators of email servers. A specific relevance of malware there
is that "spam" has discouraged the development and deployment of tools
which make relevant bits of such information externally visible.)

(end historical aside)

Anyways...

It's likely that your email messages never reached the J email server.
But I am not sure how to help you isolate the problem, if that turns
out to be the case.
