The reason for the difference is that the Showcase demos are more complicated than the Qt demos, and not just a few lines of J.
Perhaps instead of showing the script, you could browse to the source in the repo, e.g. for the webview to https://github.com/jsoftware/demos_wd/tree/master/source/webview .
