few minutes overlap is fine, an hour is not. Also note that those 3 hours will be much reduced now that overlap is reduced.
gump is disk-bound and I think the overlap was causing massive delays.
since we have two disks and 4 processors, we should start thinking about moving workspaces in the two disks.
