"try"?? If you get excalibur-logger back working, then Excalibur will break on excalibur-xmlutil, where I found this symptom. Xalan is (was) in the bootclasspath, yet Maven complained of missing dependency. I don't know where to find the overrides file, or even if I have access to it.
