That being said we at Yahoo! currently have a 2000 node cluster running 0.23.3, and plan to install it on a 3600 node cluster next week. They are not production clusters, but we have had only a small handful of issues with it and we plan to have a 0.23.X in production by the end of the year. If your project's timeline lines up it may not be a bad choice for you, a little bit ambitious mind you.
Full Disclosure I am the 0.23 release manager so I might be biased here :). --Bobby Evans On 10/11/12 8:49 AM, "Marcos Ortiz" <mlor...@uci.cu> wrote: >Regards, Visioner >The 0.23.3 is not recommended for production yet. >The 1.0.X is the stable release recommended for that. > >Of course, if you want, you can use 0.23, but it´s not recommended. > >Best wishes >El 11/10/2012 6:22, Visioner Sadak escribió: >> I need some features which are not available in current 1.xx stable >> versions of hadoop so can i go with using 0.23.3 in production... >> >> >> 10mo.
