Hi,
the Distributed Computing Group at CRS4 is happy to announce the 2.0a1
release of Pydoop (http://crs4.github.io/pydoop). The main new feature
is Python 3 support (in addition to Python 2). We have also fixed
several bugs and improved performance. Check out the release notes at
https://crs4.github.io/pydoop/news/latest.html.
Please note that this is an alpha release (add the "--pre" flag when
installing with pip), tested only with Apache Hadoop 2.7 on CentOS 7.
Other combinations of (platform, Hadoop version, Hadoop distribution)
may or may not work. Any feedback
(https://github.com/crs4/pydoop/issues), as usual, is welcome.
Check out https://crs4.github.io/pydoop/installation.html for
installation instructions, or try it on Docker with:
docker run -p 8020:8020 [-p ...] -d crs4/pydoop:2.0a1
